Omeo (pronounced Ooh-me-ooh), a male koala at the San Diego Zoo, turned 1 year old (July 15, 2020) and received a special birthday celebration—complete with a heart-shaped ice cake made with natural flowers, and “presents.”

Two young black-footed cats at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park cautiously ventured out of their den to take food from one of their wildlife care specialists for their daily feeding. 

Guests at the reopened San Diego Zoo are getting a first look at two endangered Amur leopard cubs, born April 26, 2020, as they explore their outdoor habitat with mom, Satka.
